German War Style And The World War II - 892 Words

WW11 started when Germany, Japan, and Italy were allied up and started to invade land. The USA, Soviet Union, and Great Britain were also allies. Japan, Italy, and Germany wanted to gain land. Japan wanted to take part of Asia and the south pacific. Germany wanted to take Northern and Eastern Europe. Italy wanted to take over Northern Africa and Greece. WW11 started on September 1st 1939 when Germany invaded Poland. Germany was led by Adolf Hitler; he had a style of warfare that was deadly. He used infantry, armor, artillery and aircraft work. In this type of war style they had to be able to communicate so they equipped every vehicle with a small radio to communicate with other vehicles. The German war style was called the Blitzkrieg. This†¦show more content†¦The reason why France did this is because they knew that Hitler would just tear right through his country and take all of it. Later than the Italians leader Benito Mussolini declared war on France just after they had g otten new French Government established. When the U.S was in a neutral position out of the war (not participating in the war) they were sending supplies over to Great Britain (Called the Lend and Lease Act) some of the ships were getting attacked by U-Boats which are German submarines. The US was trying to send over weapons, Aid kits, Tanks, and lots more. The Germans were attacking the US supply ships so Great Britain can’t get the weapons/supplies that the Americans were sending over. Even though the American ships were getting blown up by the U-boats the US still did not get involved in WW11 yet. The US got involved when the Japanese (allied with Germany and Italy) bombed a naval base in Hawaii, this naval base is called Pearl Harbor. A total of 4 ships were destroyed/sunk. A total of 2,500 people or more were killed and almost half of them killed were on the USS Arizona. The Japanese destroyed or damaged 350 planes. This is now where the US decides to get in the war. They decided that they would start off fighting Germany and then finish off ending the war with Japan. The US had first entered France on November 8th 1942. They had to first take France and then head to
