Los Vendidos :: essays research papers

Los Vendidos implies the sell-outs. All the characters in the play sold-out sooner or later during the play. The characters sold out both their races and their lifestyle. I would state that the individual who sold out the most was the Mexican-American since he sold-out the two his Mexican, his American legacy and lifestyle. He needed to be great, so when he found that the Americans and the Mexicans remained imperfect he sold them out. He presently needs to look for another and ideal race to relate to. (He will be looking for some time.) The Mexican-American sold out his Mexican Heritage when he stated, "The issues of the Mexicans originate from one thing alone he's dumb, he is under-taught, he needs to remain in school. He should be goal-oriented and be forward looking, most significant he needs to think American" (Page 382). In his announcement he is just finding the terrible of his kin and expressing it for the whole space to hear. He shows incredible lack of respect for the Mexican legacy by saying all that isn't right with them. He shows their blemishes, shortcomings, and flaws. I accept your legacy makes up what your identity is and that is you, so you ought to never disregard yourself by slighting your legacy. I accept thee way he sold-out was by slighting his legacy. the Mexican-American is as yet attempting to choose climate he will live Mexican or American. At the point when the Mexican-American says, "The just thing I don't care for is why I generally got the chance to play the goddamn Mexican-American"(Page-384). You are uncertain by this announcement climate he is selling-out his Mexican or his American way of life. You realize he needs to consummate in light of his mentality toward filling the role of the Mexican-American. The Mexican American doesn't have a clue where he needs to go in life I surmise this demonstrates regardless of how old you are or the amount of training you have you sell individuals out and abuse them.
